They shrug their multiple sets of shoulders, and gesture for them to follow. They will start heading off and continuing to answer, apparently no longer wanting to remain in the same place for too long.
"Some are dead when they arrive," they explain, levelly. "Some are left here alive and then later killed and eaten by the others. Most have lost any semblance of themselves by now. I suppose their deaths may be considered a mercy."
